Seal encounter.....

....an adult casually coming out from the dunes and settling down along the foreshore basking in sun and enjoying any waves which crept his way. A couple of times I've seen a juvenile fur seal along this coast but never an adult, we were surprised.

A high tide had just turned as we hit the beach this morning, misty again both north and south but clear in between. The sun was already beating down, a warm 20C which turned to 30C later in the day. The sea was silvery, good waves for morning surfers. It was hard to walk with the tide being high, soft sand made for a better work out.

Enjoyed chatting over lunch with E and mum before our usual grocery shop.
