I stood momentarily in front of this vehicle and it was like a scene out of The Railway Children... the one where Jenny Agutter is stood on the railway line and waving her petticoats at the train in order to stop it.

I wasn't waving my petticoats though. I was taking photographs and I was in the way and the driver kept thinking I was going to move and I kept taking photographs.
We came to an agreement in the end.
I moved!

And how old is this bus?
I wonder if anyone knows...?!

This was taken a short distance from Agatha Christie's front door.

Actually it's not Agatha Christie's front door any more, it's the National Trust's.
And today I joined the National Trust.
I only really joined for the cakes!
