Day 019/22. Another new project.
Another new project begins at the museum. this time the building of a 2 metre span 'Air Horse'.
The post-war Cierva Air Horse was at the time (1948) the world's largest helicopter. It was built in Hamble, near Southampton.The first prototype of the Air Horse crashed killing Cierva's manager and chief test pilot.
It was not a success.
