Tulips

It appears I took this very same photo today 2 years ago.  The jug’s the same, but not the tulips, although by the look of them they might have been!
 
We’ve been to Shifnal to meet up with the couple who own our favourite small caravan site near Bewdley.  On the WWW. the pub they had chosen said it was open and serving food, but when we got there it definitely wasn’t on both counts,  nor were three more pubs we tried but on the fourth attempt we were lucky and enjoyed a very good  lunch, lots of chat and catching up, A became a Granny again yesterday when a little boy was born to her son and D-in-law, all doing well.
 
I’m very impressed with fellow Blipper LizzieBirkett’s wonderful poems (her this year’s 365 project) so when an invite came through our door yesterday from a new neighbour two doors down, in poetic form, I thought I might reply in similar vein ……  my poetic prowess is nil but whilst drying my hair this morning the following nearly rhyming lines unfolded:

Oh what a joy to receive your ode
Inviting us to your new abode
To share some drink, picky bits and fun (?)
Thank you kind neighbour
We’d love to come.
I’ve now run out of rhyme
But know we’ll all have a very good time.
