The Cottage By The Canal

After we dropped Sophie off at school this morning, we decided to head for Burnham for a bit of sea air. Unfortunately, the motorway had been closed between Burnham and Weston-super-Mare so all the traffic was coming off onto the road we take so we turned around and ended up back at the cafe by the canal we had breakfast in last week, followed by a shorter walk along the canal (still feeling a bit wobbly!).

This canal side cottage looks as if it could be in an idyllic location in the middle of the countryside: as it happens there’s a modern block of flats just out of picture right and a factory further along to the left. I guess it’s a relic from the days before Bridgwater expanded into an urban sprawl. It’s still a pretty little house.

Took it easy this afternoon.
