25-year-old Jim Loftus examines the menu during a visit to Applebee's. Loftus worked as a waiter for 8 years at 7 different restaurants, starting at the age of 17. The recent UNC-Chapel Hill graduate retired his Red Robin nametag 5 months ago after finishing a master's in acounting and starting a full-time job at the financial planning company Merrill Lynch.
