Abstract Thursday: #1 - For Communicating
It’s Thursday and today……..well yesterday’s forecast (Wednesday) for today on the BBC App showed non stop sunshine, from dawn until dusk, so imagine my surprise to wake up to find it overcast with heavy grey clouds. Well not a surprise really as they can never quite get the forecast right with that App…they can’t seem to get it right on the day. Luckily by mid-morning, the clouds had started to slowly disappear and by lunchtime, it was indeed a lovely bright sunny day.
And just after noon, I took delivery of a massive big box (could hardly get it through the front door) that contained three outside wall lights which Mrs IU had ordered a few days ago and which no doubt Mrs IU will want installed by yesterday :)
So, after lunch decided to break into this massive box and do a quick wire up check to make sure they worked in readiness for full installation when the weather is a tad warmer – climbing ladders and drilling holes in brickwork and fiddling around with little screws etc is best done without gloves.
And then the rest of the day was free to relax – think about “photo of the day”, do a bit of reading and watch Murray and Emma Raducanu at the Australian Tennis which I had recorded earlier. However, when I put the TV on and courtesy of the BBC, their ticker tape news report flashed up on the screen informing us they had both crashed out. I wonder if that MBE for Emma is a little premature.
And then another newsflash popped up which informed us that old No_vax is apparently thinking of suing the Australian government following his deportation. He’s obviously not that bothered at trying to get another visa for next year’s tournament, or even the one after that. Poor soul.
So abandoned the idea of watching the tennis – not so exciting to watch when the score is known, and instead thought about what to do for today’s photo….and here it is.
Thanks for stopping by and viewing.
