Up On The Roof
The Drifters once sang “I've found a paradise that's trouble proof (Up on the roof)”, and certainly that was what it felt like surveying a high roof in a serene and sunny (but bitingly cold) Lothersdale.
Only thing was, whilst I took a lot of roof pictures set against the beautiful scenic backdrop of this secret little Yorkshire dale, I ended up preferring this textural image only. What with the grass, lichen and skylight reflection felt like an abstract composition to me. It wasn’t taken with any of that in mind of course: It was just to be construction record for future reference.
I should get out more, clearly.
