Royal Warrant of appointment

Spotted these on the Barbour Jacket we hope to sell on eBay, John noticed a similar wax jacket for sale which had two warrants, we now had to find out the difference.

The Queen awarded her first warrant in 1978 with Prince Charles and Philip joining her in 1987. There are over 800 warrant holders in Britain covering a wide range of trades and Industries.

The Royal Warrant is a document and granted to a named individual known as the Grantee. The Warrant gives the Grantee permission and responsibility for the display of the relevant Royal Arms in connection with their business.

Basically this means the jacket was made after 1987.
