We spent the morning down on the allotment. 
All the advice is not to dig in January but we don’t have much option. I’ve read up,on the no-dig methodology but there’s so much to clear I think we have got to get stuck in and see the winter weather do it’s job. So we’ve dug some beds and removed a few tonnes (felt like it!) of couch grass and got a sneak preview of rhubarb showing itself. I grew it from seed last year so it’d be great to see some produce this year. 
Much more to do but it’s great fun.
