Golden Glory
The early morning glow on Sumner Beach this morning was glorious. It was a joy to be down there, to savour the rising sun and to watch the reflections in the remaining pools of the ebbing tide. The headland in the distance is Whitewash Head, well named for the long white decorations left by the shags, some of which are quite arty!
It was worth it, in spite of having to get up an hour early. Our clocks were turned back in New Zealand last night - a signal that we're really on our way to Winter. It's getting colder too, quite rapidly, after our extended Indian Summer.
