Green to Brown

This is a photo I took while Jill and I were at the driving range this afternoon practicing our golf. I noticed how brown many parts of Wānaka are now after a few weeks of hot temperatures.

We have had a lovely day. Walked with a friend while Frida ran beside Jill’s  bike. All met up for a coffe at Pembroke Patisserie. Practiced golf after lunch and the. Had a swim. Now just home from dinner at my favourite restaurant with Jill’s brother and his wife. It’s the end of their holiday and they go back to Christchurch tomorrow. The end of a lovely day…and we appreciate them even more with all the talk and predictions of how many of us are going to get Omicrom in NZ - it’s a bit of a shock after having lived so sheltered for the last 2 years while the rest of the world has dealt with COVID-19.
