A wide part in a wee creek

Just wide enough that I couldn't quite step over it but the dog could leap it.

A wee creek in the Teetotal Reserve at Lake Rotoiti (Nelson Lakes). A friend of mine is doing a 2 week stint as "Camp Mother" as a Department if Conservation volunteer so I called in for a couple of nights catch up.

She's also monitoring the camp at West Bay but that's in the National Park where we're not allowed dogs, so we have to stay here. We get a long drop and creek and the ice skating pond. Over there they get flush toilets and a kitchen and the lake. Ah well, they also get enormous eels!
