Shining Silver Catkins

I was out walking before sunrise this morning and as the sun rose over a hill behind me it started to catch the catkins on a willow hedge - they really stood out against the bright blue sky.

As I got closer I was able to get a macro shot of a couple of the catkins and have put them as an inset in the main photo.

Mrs madwill is away for a couple of nights on a ‘sewing retreat’  so I had a quick trip to Tadcaster -to get in some treats for me for the weekend :-)
