Silver linings

(21/1/22) A back-blip!

Today was a much calmer day after yesterday's hectic one! A very leisurely morning where we had breakfast at lunchtime. Hilde has brought a 5kg cheese wheel. Needless to say, we've never had one of these in the flat before, so it's a bit of a novelty. G made cheese toasties in the airfryer.

The most important thing to do was a PCR test for Hilde's flight back home. That done, we took her to my salon for a pedicure. She had a few things she wants to take back with her, so we went to Wafi for that. Coffee first at Icons though, and then the shopping. We then drove on Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard so Hilde could see the lights. The day finished with shawarmas from our local Lebanese.

It has rained on and off all day long, with a few sunny spells in between. We don't often get clouds here.
