Early blossom
Goodness me, my life is banal. A day spent between marking and wrangling stuff on my to do list. I am close to the point where I officially need a couple of 8 day weeks in order to catch up. And a 36 hour day.
This evening, I’ve started wrangling a long list of life laundry. Curry’s reimbursed the TV we cancelled, so we bought a different and cheaper one from John Lewis. I had to update my electricity tariff. Oh my god. The situation is dire. I was completely shocked at the cost of a new tariff, but I decided I wasn’t going to risk going on to the standard variable tariff even if that might seem cheaper in the short term. And I upgraded our broadband a little, which means we will get a new router. I ended up angsting over a £6 increase in the cost of broadband when I’ve just had to budget for a doubling of the monthly cost of our electricity. Typical, really. Blankets and fleeces to the fore, I say.
But life is not too bad, really. We booked lunch out tomorrow. And we’ve got someone coming round to measure up for our new curtains. And I had a potter to Milk at lunchtime, and spotted some early blossom. What’s not to like about that?
