Beach fun!

We have sooooo much to do with the house to get it ready for the possibility of childminding so... we bunked off and went to the beach instead.

It was a bright and sunny (if a bit chilly) day for it! Chickpea was much more interested in making sand castles today and decorating them with little shells and stones. Monkey has gotten over the stage of needing to put every other handful of sand in his mouth ( though he still had to taste it a few times just in case) so that is a bonus, too! He really enjoyed making sandcastles and wrecking them (the best bit), having his feet buried in the sand, and squishing and throwing sand.

On the way home I was jokingly saying to Chickpea- "What would I be if I wasn't your mommy?" She giggled and said, "You would be a "nack (snack)!" I hadn't considered that possibility!
