The Cracks Are Beginning To Show

A strange kind of booming noise came from the lake periodically, as though it was trying to say something. I imagine it's to do with the ice moving or changes in temperature. A bit eerie, but I wasn't about to venture out onto the ice.

No fresh snow in quite a while, to build up the layers and cover the cracks, so along the shore they are beginning to show. I thought they made interesting lead-in lines (or is it leading). The low sun brought out the pattern in the snow bank.
