Boreen Point
Martin and I went out for a nice country drive first thing today. There was purpose to it and a destination to get to. While we were out, Tom and Sandy said they were going to be in our area and could drop in.
So we finished what we needed to do, picked up some stuff for lunch and headed home.
We had a lovely visit and great to see Sandy. We haven’t seen her yet since she turned 60. Tomorrow, Tom has arranged for the brothers and wives to have a celebratory dinner in Caloundra.
Jon then suggested we go out for another scenic drive to Lake Cootharaba, at Boreen Point. Oh my, what a lovely place it was. And there were many kangaroos in the paddock.
They were a treat to watch as we saw them pruning themselves/each other and also two males who were showing off in front of a female!
And a lovely campsite by the lake that looked so inviting. We were thrilled to find it and can’t wait to go camping again.
Jon treated us to beers and nibbles at the nice restaurant on the site. Poor Ben missed out!
A very lovely Saturday indeed.
