First daisy of spring

Okay, now it's officially spring! I just spotted my first daisy, wide open and smiling at the sun... it's growing in the little rockery on the front lawn (amongst all the detritus of autumn and winter) and it's a very welcome sight. All the sunshine and warmth we had yesterday must have encouraged it to open up and, whilst it's not quite so warm this morning, it thought it would take the plunge. I can see a few other daisy buds dotted around the lawn and they may well open up sometime today, but this one is the pioneer, the first, the most adventurous. So, little daisy, I salute you!
