Seedpod

This is one of the seed pods produced by my Abutilon 'Kentish Belle'. I've not tried growing them from seed before. They are usually propagated by softwood cuttings in early summer. I've no idea what to do with them or when to sow them but there are enough seeds for me to set up some experiments. The testa appears to be very hard so I'm going to try pre-soaking one batch before sowing and leave another batch unsoaked. Within each batch I'll also vary the sowing depth and temperature conditions.
