Following on from yesterday, I have recalled the aftermath of the mirror strike and am completely satisfied that the damage was caused by a piece of spring or bolt shed by the car travelling in front of me.

The mirror can still be adjusted. The repeater indicator works and the whole lot folds away when the car is locked.

We had planned to meet with DH this evening for a catch-up and drinks. However, Pat has some sort of tummy bug and we called off.
