It’s cold up north!
A much better sleep. Thank you gin and crisps.
We met #3 daughter at the beach as we’d not really seen them since Christmas. Although Thomas is now negative #2 thought it best to stay at home. We walked south on the beach, Nathaniel dawdling along as usual, poking with a stick. They were well-wrapped up as the wind was cold. On the way back, on the estuary side, he got bored and wanted Ella to give him a piggyback which she did for a bit. He forgot to me bored when he started telling me about an Arsenal player who had been captain but was so often late to training they had to punish him for lack of commitment. He sarcastically thought Newcastle might buy him. He thinks a player he does want to come won’t as he’s bound to prefer living in Paris. I prefer the football chat to Minecraft.
We had to go back to the beach side of the dunes as he needed to get a few boxes of sand for his Egypt project, so Ella decided to strip off to paddle and do handstands. He didn’t strip off so got soaked when he joined us. Ella said it was the best day of her life as I got a photo of her handstand.
We stopped at Morrisons to get some veggie haggis, neeps and tatties for Burns Night.
Tonight we are going to Carol and Phil’s with Linda and Colin for a cocktail and dinner. We all tested negative. (Lynn is quite poorly in bed still). So excited to be having a social life!
