Monsterous
This April marks the 80th anniversary of the first modern day sighting of the Loch Ness Monster, the one that kicked it all off so to speak.
A conference was held in Edinburgh as part of the Science Festival and speakers were invited to talk about subjects such as bad science done on Loch Ness, good science done on Loch Ness, pre-1930s sightings of monsters and creatures at the loch, fictional films featuring the monster, a statistical analysis of monster sightings and Nessie photographs through the years.
From left to right is Roland Watson, Adrian Shine, Gordon Rutter and Stewart Campbell on the discussion panel at the end of the conference.
