Lichen

A grey cold day.  I was indoors most of the day but decided I needed to go out for a walk and a blip so I headed for the local commons.  I had hoped to take some landscape shots but it was all rather grey and nothing appealed.  Instead I found some lichen to photograph and spent some time on the ground getting up close.  These ones are beginning to produce fruiting bodies on the tips they are a Cladonia species I think.
