Saturday: Salad

It was a damp, grey, drizzly, chilly day - MrD and I decided on a very lazy morning with mugs of coffee and tea to cheer us up!
By lunchtime I was ready to go exploring in the garden - hunting for salad!
All the old favourites: Good King Henry, water cress, Swiss chard seedlings and American land cress. On the extreme right are the first tiny shoots of wild garlic - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2568925457428774975 - which will be ready to crop in a few weeks time!
After lunch I watched some more of “Monty Don’s Adriatic Gardens” in Venice … got me thinking of starting some seeds off, so I’ve ordered Coir and vermiculite to make peat-free compost to start off some micro greens and salads … and pea shoots … exciting …!!
Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend x
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
