An apple a day ….

Second attempt!! managed to delete my entry and journal- grr - will try and rewrite it later! Missing my laptop! So day 3 - very bored indeed apart from some light relief that a fellow blipper challenged me to do -get 3 Random people to say the word elephant without saying it myself or giving them a reason! Mission was accomplished and although the nurses gave me strange looks - I’m still their favourite pt they keep saying because I medicate my vast array of pills, I’m independent and I try very hard never to ring my buzzer !
I have so much respect for all the nhs staff - they work incredibly long shifts in very challenging and stressful conditions - it’s so upsetting to hear how they are spoken to by some patients ( even sadder that the majority of these patients are saying and shouting things through no fault of theirs but because of a cruel dementia related disease or even something as simple as a UTI and high temperature. Anyway the nurses here deserve a medal for their patience and compassion .
My bloods have come back as clear so I’m hoping and keeping everything crossed my surgeon will discharge me and then I will return in a couple of weeks for the long awaited switch on !!
