Couple of photos from the Upper Knockbain area on a very cold and quiet night. Long exposures with a half Moon providing some side light. Bit of experimentation with this camera and lens. Used a bright torch to help set the focus position.
In the above, looking North to Ben Wyvis, with the lights of Dingwall to the left.
Extra - looking South, with the glowing distant lights of Inverness. The stars look a bit blurry in both photos, with the planet having moved a noticeable bit during the long exposure. No aurora tonight, and barely any traffic. It was at least minus 5 degrees C up there.
