Winter feasting

Another cool gray day. Not windy or raining so I finished the allotment digging and sprayed the fruit trees.

The pigeons have suddenly taken a liking to the berries on the cotoneaster. The berries must ripen or change in some way as the winter progresses and then the birds start to clear them. Perhaps the frost has an effect?
