Nurse Matilda

We were all quite excited when we woke up today as we knew that Nanny and Grandad (my parents) were on their way up for a few days.

To pass the time and break up the peering out of the front window and jumping every time a car went past, the wee ones were engaged in operation clear-out. This meant trying all of their clothes on to see which ones still fitted and also sorting out the remaining cr*p from their shared bedroom to be boxed up or to be kept with us in our soon to be temporary abode.

There are a couple of large bin bags on their way to the recycling tip.

They also did some clay work and then The Youngest wanted to play doctors for a little while. This suited me as I got to lie down for a bit, whilst she x-rayed me with a light-up baton, drugged me and then pretended to cut me up. She committed to the role by running off and finding her face mask.

We got some cookies baked too, so when the ‘rents finally arrived they popped over for a cup of tea and we sat there munching cookies and having a catch up. There was a wander to the park late afternoon before our day finished up with a chippy tea and watching The Masked Singer.

Robobunny for the win.
