Organised Hare Walk

Definitely not one of my best photographic days but I really enjoyed this walk. We saw deer, hares (loads of them), lapwings, oyster catchers, geese, ducks and other things.

I almost posted one of my hare photos for you to laugh at, but decided to maintain some pride. :-) I live to try another day- and I will be going back.

I very nearly didn't get to take any practice shots. When I arrived at the starting point for the walk, I realised that I had left all my camera batteries on the kitchen table. What was I to do? Put the camera back in the car and pretend that I hadn't come to take photographs, or should I admit to being the aged, dumb blonde that I am and ask complete strangers if they have any spare batteries. I thought about it for a minute and then said loudly, "Excuse me, but do any of you have ... blah, blah, blah." People tried to shove all shapes of battery into my camera but eventually we got a match.
