Almost gone

A few weeks ago the main road through the village was closed due to a tree falling across it.
Not any old tree mind you but a 300 year old Cypress that had been gracing the Church grounds with its hugeness. Not sure what caused it to fall, but it brought down with it an equally old yew tree and part of the wall.
All that`s left now are the stumps and the roots which haven`t been removed yet as they are in close proximity to a number of ancient graves.
