A Tiny Garden in NE Wales

Eye Health

As I have T2Diabetes I get my eyes screened every year for Diabetic Retinopathy. A disease of the eyes caused by diabetes. I get a letter inviting me to a local hospital for screening. My last screening was in 2019.

The service is now very behind in getting appointments sorted. Understandably so with the pandemic and restrictions. I rang them on Thursday to find out the state of play and got booked in with a cancellation for today. Yay!

A quick eye test, then the demon eye drops to dilate the pupils and then photographs of the eyes. And then the rest of the day spent with everything out of focus. The worst thing is if the sun comes out because the light on dilated pupils is Ouchie. Hence the sunnies, fortunately found in the glove box.

My husband acts as chauffeur and I get a treat for being a brave girl
