Arrangements

A lot of the day was totally rubbish. A day for the bin. Mostly.

But I did go and see a friend briefly who has moved house recently. I saw it on the day she moved in so it was good to see it with a little more furniture and comfort in place.

I had sent her flowers as had many others and she had given up arranging them. They were all bundled together in one big colourful sea in the middle of the kitchen island. Her daughter, who has a tendency towards cynicism, calls them ‘pity flowers’.

And trying to scrape together some decency to the day, Elbows and I went to see ‘Belfast’ at the cinema with the 2 boys. It’s a significantly memorable film.
