Bleak place to live

A decent 8 km trek into the middle of North Uist - effectively a bowl of bog.
The piles of stones here would have been summer hovels to live in whilst the cattle were on the pasture.
They are built into prehistoric burial cairns of which there are a plethora here. If you thought a bog was a sacred place - as I think they did back in the Bronze Age - then this is the place for you.
