Chilli jam

There’s just a scraping of the last of the six jars of chilli jam I made in autumn 2020. So here’s the next batch.

It’s sublime spread thinly, or thicker, on crisps, underneath the cheese on cheese on toast or dipped with a breadstick.

This batch is a little milder than the 2020 version. I used my own chillies in that recipe which were hotter than those I used today.

That really was the highlight of the day. We walked this morning up to the garden centre to purchase a pot of hyacinth bunts for a birthday present. Susan went to see her mum this afternoon. The weather remains very grey and cold.

Good news, from a financial point of view, that we won’t have to test two days after arriving g back in the UK from the Dolomites next month. We still have to test going out.

Super responses from yesterday’s blip of a unicyclist. JohnRH said he used to be quite adept at it in his earlier years! And there’s a surprising number who’ve had a go or members of their families have done so.
