Brunstane Burn

Today's walk was recommended by a friend. We were to walk down the Brunstane Burn so Mr Flum chose a suitable place to park on Daiches Braes and off we went.

To be honest, it wasn't the most exciting walk, despite the fine weather, mainly as the burn was not visible from the path for much of the way (though we did pass a nice ploughed field) and, although short, it terminated at a main road opposite a cash-and-carry (though there was a view of the sea from its yard). But the main problem was that, after spending yesterday cutting fabric, my legs and back were rather stiff. We did wander on to the beach for a wee rest before retracing our steps.

Main picture is a rusty lock and chain at the cash-and-carry, the lighting caught the chain nicely. Extra photo is one of a million ivy flowers along the way that had matured to seed heads, this one was ripe.

The afternoon was spent catching up, giving the amaryllis plants a good soak after their top-dressing.
