All power cables lead to ...
Our village - the power station is long shut down, but the pylons still radiate out from the substation and the cooling towers remain. There are plans afoot to finally knock them down and replace it with a gas fired power station.
I went out for a run this morning - aiming to do 7 miles - it's strange to run in the non-cold. On the way home along the canal tow path I took my phone out of my pocket to see how close my time was to my 10k best - and then fell flat on my face in the dust - thankfully nothing twisted or broken, not even holes in the knees of my running tights, but I was picked up off the deck by two lovely chaps and their dogs. Impressed that I managed to still run the remaining 3/4 of a mile to hit my goal. My knees and one of my hands are slightly grazed and sore.
The better weather means hubby has gone out on his motorcycle and the boys have actually played outside.
I shall look forwards to my well deserved slice of yesterday's chocolate cake later.
