Tones of grey

3.6C with very light snow flurries amongst rainy showers. Very grey.

The day started with the surprise of seeing it was damp when I peeked out the curtains. On our grocery shopping trip it got no better, but by the time we were home and the groceries put away it had at least brightened a little and the rain/sleet was much lighter.

Apothecary7 thought we should probably go for a walk anyway in case it got wetter. So we did. We took Maeve the Deerhound round the usual route.

All the way down the field with the bridle path we watched two tractors towing their potato planting kit slowly along the deep furrows in the next field. They were just too far away for a good shot and when we got to the bottom of the field and made our way along the cycle path they had slowly made their way back up the field and were further away.

We decided not to wait for them to come back down the slope. We went over the level crossing and along the back of the beach to the Fishermen's huts and had a potter about to look for blip possibilities. The only people there were inside the hut nearest the cottages. I suspect they were chatting and having tea next to a nice log fire in a wood burner.

I thought this shot, which is in colour, from the side of 'Shamara II' summed up the way I felt about the day. After yesterday's sunshine there weren't even tinted neutrals, it was definitely tones of grey.
