Tower without a church
Invited over to No1 son for a cup of tea and slice of banana cake made by my grandson.
You can see the back of this tower from his house.
It is all that remains of the 13th century church of St Mary Magadalan. The rest of the church was destroyed by fire in 1742.
The graveyard was extended over the building area after the fire and was in use until about 1865. The tower is now grade II listed.
The weather has been so much improved that I cleaned my car and tidied up the garden as well as defrosting the fridge freezer.
Amazing what a bit of sun and warmth can do.
