Fruit of the ivy

It's been a very cold day today and when I went for a walk to the castle I was the only person there apart from a couple of workmen.

It's not been a good day for photography but there was planty of ivy growing.  Ivy fruit ripens in the winter so is a great resource for birds and insects when there's nothing much else around.
