The old mill floor....

...is for keeping.  It will be our kitchen floor.  No sanding, no patching up.  
It's taken decades of flour dust and the vibrations of machines and pulleys and so on, so nothing will shock it and it will stay the way it's always been.
This pleases me and takes the effort out of cleaning it.
The five second rule applies.  End of.
