Cap
We have been very lucky that CyclopsJnr has done alright through this pandemic but if there is an area where he got behind it is swimming, with no lessons for two years. He's extremely confident, but he doesn't have any recognisable stroke and he doesn't naturally float.
Well today CyclopsJnr was able to join a new swimming class at the local high school (not the one where he did RugbyTots, the one in the opposite direction). We can cycle there in five minutes, and the session is at 5pm, and he doesn't have a club on a Tuesday - so it is very handy. Today CyclopsJnr was one-to-one with a teacher. I don't remember signing him up for that - maybe I did, or maybe they were evaluating him on his first time, or maybe the class will fill up. Well he said he loved it anyway so that's all good.
He does have to wear a compulsory swimming cap though...
In other news this week CyclopsJnr has gone through the knee of both pairs of school trousers. MrsCyclops has attempted a repair but it didn't look great. So CyclopsJnr is having to wear his shorts to school until some new trousers arrive. Plenty of the kids wear shorts year-round, but CyclopsJnr declared it "baltic".
