I was back at Guiseley for a mid-week National League North fixture against Alfreton. 

I am definitely not a lucky mascot for Guiseley having seen them win only eight times in my previous 44 visits, and not at all for nearly three years. There was plenty of gallows humour in the stands as supporters start bracing themselves for a potential relegation to the Northern Premier League. 

For this reason there was skepticism when Guiseley took the lead, and knowing nods when Alfreton equalised. And again when Guiseley went 2-1 up and the visitors replied once more. 2-2 going into the last 10 minutes, But then a third goal for Guiseley and the final whistle came - they had indeed won a game of football.
