Out and about
I did a small amount of work again this morning before popping across the road to the dentist for a hygienist appointment. The hygienist was new and very good.
After a light lunch we stopped by the office to collect leaflets and signs, before crossing the harbour bridge to the North Shore where I had an appointment. I’ve been taking part in a nutritional study over the last ten weeks and today was my final interview, measurements and tests. The measurements and tests confirmed what I already knew - having to drink a 200ml bottle of milk that might or might not contain a nutritional supplement has caused me to gain a small amount of weight and lack of exercise has caused me to lose muscle mass. The irony is that the milk/supplement is being tested to see whether it helps build up muscle mass in women of a certain age range. The big revelation was that it’s not a supplement at all but …… deer milk. There was a program on TV on a Sunday night about deer milk and how it’s much better nutritionally than cow’s milk. I shall have to watch it again and pay more attention this time.
After the interview had finished, we drove to Brown’s Bay to meet a friend from Napier who has been visiting her two young grandchildren. We had an early supper with them, which was most enjoyable.
And we found another whale’s tail. Blip sorted for the day!
And the best part is that my aches and pains have been relatively mild today, thank goodness.
