Australia Day
It's been a great way to spend Australia Day. We started off early as Mr isbi was to help with the annual Council sponsored event at Blackheath Pool. They provide sausages and drinks for the Rotary Club to cook and hand out free of charge.
Rotarians are going down like skittles with Covid at present so I went up to help as well but wasn't needed as unfortunately the day started out coolish and overcast so there weren't many people around.
Hopefully it improved later but we left at midday to attend this function in the valley. The Megalong Creek Estate Vineyard closed its cellar door to the public and instead hosted locals to celebrate the day.
They did spit roasted meats and we took a salad or dessert. There was live music and we caught up with lots of people we knew. As you can see the weather ended up being perfect.
Unfortunately our son and family couldn't come as Covid is working its way through their lot. They just spent the week at an isolated lodge in Perisher Valley so seems it will seek you out anywhere. Judging from the video I just got of the kids prancing around the yard under sprinklers I don't think they are suffering too much.
Thanks for hosting Bob. This is a low angle, taken from down the hill, to meet the wide challenge.
