A mixed day

Up early to take Phin to doggy daycare followed by a busy morning at the house. Talked to the electricians and discussed our issues with the work done so far. Agreed how much of the bill we’d pay and thought they would finish things today but sadly no, still some work to be done next week and waiting for them to confirm when they will be back. My gas engineer arrived to service the boiler and gas fire - luckily the 22 year old boiler is hanging on in there.

I’d ordered some original artwork from a local artist and she arrived mid morning to drop off the framed prints - they will work well in the kitchen I think.

Dropped some of the many bags of rubbish and cardboard at the local recycling centre and took the car to be washed before picking up some lunch.

Hung around at the house waiting for the joiner to tell us he was ready to discuss the breakfast bar but he finished up and left before talking to us.

Collected Phin and brought him back whilst I did some number crunching on the bills which were mounting up. We had a quick walk round the stream where I blipped the branches waving in the breeze.

Back at the van and we’re shaking all over the place as there are strong winds forecast overnight. The final dog walk was a little scary.
