Sky scraper?

This part of the building was as high as what you see left of it. We have no idea why they changed it. Okay, it needed renovating for sure. But increasing the height? It is now one of the highest buildings in our village. Still not high enough to have a look over the Odenwald, but at least the cooling towers close to the city of Hanau, 33km away, will be visible from the two top storeys. But the rooms on each storey are quite small ....
