Grey Heron
I went up to the loch a bit later and thought I saw the young one on her tree at the centre of the loch. She was looking over but not moving. I waited around and was just about to go when I thought that it might be another Heron. I walked round to the platform I saw her on yesterday and sure enough that's where she was. She flew over immediately but was chased halfway over by a gull. Having out manoeuvred the gull she found a place to land. I started feeding her. I was less than halfway through when she took off and chased the other Heron who had landed close by. She then flew over and landed on the viewing platform. As I made my way around to the platform. The other Heron landed right beside her. I could see right away that it was very much a juvenile a first autumn at best. As I got closer the juvenile took off. I fed the young one from the platform. When she was finished she jumped back up on the fence surrounding the platform and stared up the loch.
The extras are of her on the viewing platform
