Bus Station
Interesting variety of ways to pass the time while waiting for the bus….from knitting and messaging, to reading the paper or getting the coffees in (extras).
Today marked our first visit to the cinema for a couple of years. A lot more in attendance than I expected at an early p.m. screening, mixed attitudes to mask wearing - but once the film started it was easy to make that the main focus.
Film: Belfast. - Maybe overplayed the sentimentality at times but no denying the feelgood factor of this sincere and affectionate portrait of a city and family living through the eruption of the Troubles. Evocative music (Van Morrison) and terrific performances, none more so than young Jude Hill. It certainly pressed the buttons for Anne, one of ‘those who left…’
